Furama Resort Danang celebrates the New Year with the Golden Dragon Award for Excellence in Business

The five-star Furama Resort Danang, located on Central Vietnam's China Beach, is continuing to achieve success in business performance and as a leader in Vietnam's hotel industry with the presentation of the Golden Dragon Award from the Vietnam Economic Times and the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The Golden Dragon Award, one of the most prestigious awards in Vietnam, honours foreign invested enterprises (FIEs) operating in Vietnam that make an outstanding social contribution and excel in business performance.

The award ceremony which took place at Hanoi¡¦s Opera House on 10 January 2009 honoured over 80 FIEs in Vietnam for their contribution.

Mr Nguyen Duc Quynh, Executive Assistant Manager, Furama Resort Danang, said of the award:Being a winner of the Golden Dragon Award this time is a great honour and has much meaning for us at this time when the global financial crisis is affecting all businesses and tourists are being more careful when choosing the best place to have a holiday.

It once again affirms that Furama Resort is one of the best in Vietnam, with a consistent position in the international and national market.

In 2009 Furama Resort Danang will continue to focus on providing their guests with a perfect holiday experience with plans to build a new spa and villa centre already underway.

In addition to the spa Furama will also expand its business by operating the 135 luxurious Ariyana Villas, located close to the resort. The two storey villas will have a private swimming pool and include a combination of international and traditional Vietnamese design. The development is expected to be completed by mid-2010.
