Destination Marketing Services kick starts the year for the business events industry

DMS Destination Marketing Services will connect conference, incentive and meeting professionals from Australia and New Zealand with over 25 leading international destination management companies (DMCs) at its upcoming annual workshop in Sydney on Thursday 12 February 2009.
A second workshop will be held in Melbourne on Monday 16 February 2009 to coincide with AIME 2009, 17 – 18 February 2009, where DMS will be exhibiting on Stand #3212.
The workshops are the largest independent Conference & Incentive event in Australia and regarded as an excellent forum for visitors to network with senior executives, update their destination knowledge and source creative ideas for groups – all in the convenience of one room.
Unique Venues, the hotels, resorts and venues division of DMS, will also be exhibiting alongside the DMCs from almost every corner of the globe.
“Each year, our international business partners make it a priority to come to Australia as they see the value this market provides them,” said Leila Fiedler, Managing Director of DMS.
“Due to the current economic situation, the business events industry is looking for overseas operators that can work within their budgets, whilst still providing them with guaranteed professional service. DMS’ portfolio of business partners are well regarded within the industry and have the knowledge and expertise to handle any programme.”
Business partners exhibiting include well established DMCs such as the Pacific World Network (Asia), IBEROservice Incoming Services (Spain, Costa Rica and Cuba), Travel Russia, Green Route (Southern and Eastern Africa) and Shackman Associates New York(USA).
DMS will also welcome one of its newest business partners, COLTUR Peru to its February workshops. With over 50 years experience COLTUR can tailor custom made and creative proposals to Peru, incorporating the country’s enigmatic history, amazing heritage, ancient culture, beautiful nature and diversity.
Fabulous door prizes will be drawn throughout the day with international travel prizes offered, courtesy of Emirates, South African Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, LAN Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Cathay Pacific.
