Q Station Retreat celebrates its 300th conference

May 21, 2009

Just one year after its official opening one of Sydney’s most innovative conference and event venues, Q Station Retreat, is this week celebrating its 300th conference.

Penny Parkinson, Q Station Retreat’s Director of Sales and Marketing attributes Q Station’s success to the property’s diverse range of activities available for groups and its unique location.

“When booking a conference or event, people now want more from their venue. It is no longer just about the room or catering. Q Station Retreat offers a conference venue with a difference as well as tours and activities to suit any group and our success in one year has demonstrated this.”

Whilst other venues have experienced somewhat of a slow period during the economic downturn Q Station Retreat’s conference and event bookings have remained strong due to its unique location within a National Park and product.

“We are so thankful to the meeting and incentive industry for their support of the property and particularly those larger companies that have chosen us. In these trying economic times it is good to see that conferences and events are still being booked with groups choosing to stay closer to home; it’s clear why when Sydney offers so many amazing options,” Ms Parkinson said.

Recently partnering with Be Challenged, one of Sydney’s premier interactive team building companies, Q Station Retreat is now offering a range of team building activities with an experiential learning edge to suit conference or incentive groups, corporate as well as family days. Fun activities that can be catered towards specific needs for the group include: Amazing Race style competitions and community challenges to adventurous activities include raft building and races.
